Meet Marley Leslie

Yoga Specialist

As a long-term yogi and lifelong learner, Marley has been practicing yoga for many years. She began to practice when the overwhelming demands of university led to burnout and health issues. Marley fell in love with yoga because of the mental and physical health benefits it offers. Her goal as a teacher is to share those benefits with as many people as possible, while also challenging them to improve and grow in their practice.

 

To achieve this goal, Marley completed her 200HR and 300HR Yoga Teacher Training at GoYoga in Orangeville.

 

Marley hopes that her classes allow students to feel focused, challenged, and accomplished when they leave.

Welcome to Pragya Blossom Yoga

The word ‘pragya’ comes from the Sanskrit language. It means wisdom and wellness. In my classes, you will blossom not only in your wellness journey but also in inner wisdom and strength.

I built this business because of the personal impact that yoga has on my life. I was in a bad space of overwhelming stress, anxiety, and burnout. During this period, I found it hard to find the motivation to get up and move my body, let alone be able to come up with a workout plan that would help me achieve my goals or want to go workout in public. I was not able to stay consistent which was upsetting when I had specific goals in mind I wanted to achieve, it was hard to put in the time and energy to know what would help me. That was until I began a consistent practice of yoga that brought me back from this state of exhaustion to being the most in tune with my mind and body than I had ever been before.

With a consistent yoga practice I have been able to achieve things that I had never thought possible and I am only scratching the surface with all the benefits a yoga practice has to offer. I have cultivated mindfulness, increased my strength tenfold by using my body weight as resistance, and feel more flexible and mobile and in less pain.

Yoga is my passion and what makes me excited to get up and live my life every day is looking forward to being able to get on my mat and being grateful for all my body allows me to do. The mission of Pragya Blossom Yoga is to share these benefits with others so that they can achieve this holistic wellness transformation and embody the benefits of a consistent yoga practice tailored to their specific wellness goals.

I put this mission into practice by delivering a 12-week tailored program that can be done online over Zoom, in the clients' homes for those who are local, or in a public rented gym space, it is up to the client where they will feel most safe and comfortable. This program helps solve the problem of inconsistency and/or being uncomfortable working out in public. I meet with you as part of a free consultation to determine what your goals are and to see if we are a good fit to work together. Once that has been established I will make a program with yoga flows and components specific to your goals and what you wish to achieve. I do all the work of asking the questions, planning the program, creating the flows, tracking progress, and being your accountability partner to stay consistent. All you need to do is show up on your mat once a week (or more if desired) for an hour!
